Subject Specialist Consultancy
As the National Collection of Aerial Photography (NCAP) grows, it is a priority to facilitate access for academic and research access beyond the original intended use of the collections.
How it works
NCAP employs a range of subject specialists in the history of aerial photography, imagery interpretation, military history, automated digitisation, data management and photographic collections care.
Applications for research potential are vast considering the global coverage of the Collection over multiple timeframes. We are keenly interested in how the Collection can be utilised to inform current and ongoing research into climate change, coastal erosion, land use, urban development, industrialisation, re-wilding, human migration, military history, archaeology and political geography.
The availability of NCAP staff and specialist knowledge will be considered when you make a request.
